My Pledge of Saving Earth

In Communications 12, I have learned how to make a positive impact on the environment as well as to rehabilitate our mother Earth, and I am motivated to make the pledge that I will go green for a week in several ways. First, I am going to plant more trees in my living area where I can find an empty piece of land, especially in my backyard which is very huge and livable for trees. In addition, trees absorb carbon dioxide for the process of photosynthesis and release oxygen into our environment because a single tree absorbs a ton of carbon dioxide, which causes the global warming and emits oxygen into the atmosphere.

Secondly, I would switch off all appliances and lights before leaving home or when it is not required in order to save electricity and reduce the monthly payment which is depending on my usage. Furthermore, I would use water wisely, for example, I will turn off the tap immediately after washing dishes or brushing my teeth on a day-to-day basis. Finally, I would avoid the use of aluminum foils and plastic bags because those will become garbage. Instead, it is essential to save our Earth by carrying reusable stuff such as fabric bags, lunch boxes, and glass bottles for shopping and packaging food.

In conclusion, it is impossible to save our Earth merely by myself, but spreading the word and encouraging others to save our planet are some of the best steps we can do. For instance, if every one person plants one tree in his or her areas, that could be about seven billion people around the world planting seven billion trees! This alone would make the world becomes a better place for us!
